Volterra
Volterra creates cinematic, heart-opening music that feels less like a record and more like a movie musical unfolding in real time. Rooted in melodic songwriting and driven by voices clearly meant to sing together, the duo blends chamber pop, indie and art-pop, classic and alternative rock, and a subtle musical-theater sensibility into something incandescent and deeply human.
Their songs move with emotional range and intention: ethereal moments give way to raw confession, quiet intimacy swells into powerful heart energy, and passion is balanced by poetry and lyrical craft. Volterra’s music is soulful and adventurous, unafraid of vulnerability, and guided by melody as its true north.
At its core, the project is about connection: between people, between past and future, between inner life and the natural world. Shaped by solarpunk-inspired visions of a more connected, regenerative future, the result is music that feels authentic, touching, and quietly transformative, the kind that opens the heart, lingers in the body, and invites listeners into an experience rather than a genre.
Gabriel Acaju
Gabriel Acaju is a singer, songwriter and dancer from Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Brazil — one of the most singular artists of his generation in Brazilian music. He performs with a presence that asks no permission: raw energy, precise movement, and a voice that moves between the delicacy of Tom Jobim and the grandeur of David Bowie.
His references are as wide as his refusal to be categorized — MPB, rock, classical, everything popular and contemporary — but the result is unmistakably Brazilian and unmistakably his. On stage, the dancing body is as much an instrument as the voice, a presence that has more than once led audiences to invoke the name of the King, Michael Jackson.
Since releasing A História de Criança em Sagacidadinheiro in 2024, Acaju had vanished — no concerts, no explanation, only the silence every great dystopian work deserves after the story ends. This Heidelberg garden session lands right at the start of his return: the 2026 Euro Tour opens August 2nd at The Tula Festival in Frankfurt, where he's the only Brazilian artist on the bill, launching a European residency across Germany and Sweden.

🎟️ Tickets are register-only, and it's genuinely pay what you want.
🏡 There will be some seating available, plus blankets and standing spots around the garden so come a little early if you want to claim a good one. Feel free to bring your own blanket, cushion, or anything else that helps you settle in and get cozy for the evening.
🍹 There will be a small selection of drinks and snacks available (donation basis). You're just as welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks if you'd rather.
